The purpose of Railcar Retarders is to hold cars into position for loading or unloading product.
Calbrandt manufactures two types of Railcar Retarders:
The Low Dog Retarder is capable of holding up to 60,000 pounds of force
on a downhill grade.
The Bar Retarder is used with no grade but to stabilize the car.
