BAR RETARDERS

The Bar Retarder is used in applications with no grade but require the car to be stable.​

LOW DOG RETARDERS

The Low Dog Retarder is capable of holding up to 60,000 pounds of force and can hold railcars on a downhill grade.​

  • Can hold up to 30,000 pounds per side on loaded cars

  • Can hold up to 7,500 pounds per side on empty cars.

The Axle retarder is capable of holding up to 60,000 pounds of force and can hold railcars on a downhill grade.
