Job Description:
Fabricate, build, assemble, wire, plumb, start up, shop test, install, commission custom designed automation equipment, machines and systems. Includes reading blue prints, fluid power including reading electrical and hydraulic schematics, understanding of PLC controls, working with others and with the customer. Includes travel (US and Canada) to customer sites for installation and commissioning new equipment and for servicing existing equipment.
Calbrandt designs, builds and sells Railcar Handling Equipment to facilities (customers) that load or unload a bulk commodity. Equipment includes various designs or models of Railcar Movers and Railcar Gate Openers. Typical equipment is hydraulic with PLC control. See www.calbrandt.com
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of hydraulics & electrical controls (PLC's, digital and analog I/O, HMI, some servo/stepper) - Strengths in Fluid Power, Mechanical (power transmission print reading, etc) - Trouble shooting skills - Working with others and with customers - Work with engineering department and sales
- Welding & fabricating skills a plus
Certification Required:
Fluid Power Specialist or Hydraulic Specialist
Education Required:
AAS – Technical College
